Hey, all.

#JournoDog here again. Please, hold your petting and puppy praise to the end. There’s something important that must be addressed, first.
Our hearts are with The Capital Gazette in Annapolis, MD, which as you likely know experienced a tragic shooting on Thursday, June 29, 2018. Five people dead.
Deadliest day for journalists in America since 9/11.
And yet, the newspaper team covered the news and did their job. They published a paper for the following day, even mid all the heartbreak.

There’s a lot more to say about this specific situation and the overly-saturated gun culture in America overall. But that’s for another day. Today, I am commemorating those who’ve we lost in the journalism world.
Journalism pays its respects and recognizes what a dangerous time for journalists this truly is, but also how the press doesn’t flinch even in the event of these events.

As always, remember: Love your dog. Read a newspaper. A local community newspaper. Have a little human decency to your fellow humans. And try to smile and find a little happiness for your heart every day.
