Hey, everyone! It’s me, your attention-loving and tail-wagging JournoDog!
So ‘xcited to share some tail-wagging happy news.
Say hi to Bo, or Sgt Bo. A 4-year-old mixed breed therapy doggo in Nashville, Tenosee.

He’s a therapy doggo, much like my pal Cooper! The American Humane Society named him Therapy Dog of the Year!
Bo recently retired after years of comforting kids in schools.
The American Humane Hero Dog Awards is a nationwide competition that searches for and recognizes America’s standout dogs.
Bo won and announced live on the people-made TODAY Show.
He has quite the origin story, from stray to hero.
Rescued in Florida in 2022, he was paired with a Metropolitan Nashville School Resource Officer named Faye, who’d advocated to train homeless pets as therapy dogs. Her bond with Bo formed quickly during training. and he became her trusted partner.
Sadly, they endured a school shooting a few months later. Hoomans are so not tail-waggy sometimes… (sad dog face).
Bo and Faye provided steady comfort and safety for the students in crisis. Bo climbed onto buses, let frightened kiddos rest against him and remained a calming presence at reunions and school drop-offs.
Like we do, as comfort canines.
Each of the other doggos have remarkable stories all of their own. You should definitely read more, as shared by the American Humane Society.
Dis is kind of news we need more of in da world. So much hooman chaos, but doggos are doin’ tha goodness for all.
