Hey, all. JournoDog here. Have a very important update from my yard, even though I forgot why I ran out here.
Oh, wait… It’s Phyllis! That potato-shaped furball is back searching for shadows in the white floof.
I’ve definitely been through this before. Feels like I chased her into that same hole yesterday, or maybe 5 minutes ago. Can’t remember.
It’s like a weird dream I’ve had a hundred times, but every time is the best time!
Always on guard, I barked my loudest “Hey, come back!” notice. But she just ducked into the frozen, floofyk dirt.
I’ll wait here forever – or at least until my paws start freezing and I gotta go inside.

The air outside freezes my cold wet floof-covered sniffer. My hoomans talk about a “major Arctic cold snap.” I believe them because my paws are doing a spicy dance on and off the freezing ground.
According to the report, it’s single digit temps outdoors but it feels below 0° …. Yowzers!!!
Not what a good boi like me deserves, and certainly not good for sniffin’ da sniffs, dign’ up leads, or unburying scoops (of frozen treats).
My paws are officially going on strike. The floofy ground is crunchy and mean. Even with my winter coat, it’s too cold to cover the beat outside without booties.
I tried to do a zoomy after Phyllis, but the paw-stopping cold stuck in my paws didn’t allow for it. Nor did the gate blocking my escape.
So, I decided to head back indoors to find my warm comfy chair by Ma and Dad. I even forget about chasing Phyllis by the time I plopped down. Still, I am having the strangest feeling of déjà vu.

Oh well. Onward. JournoDog will study warm inside and instead turn on the glowing rectangle box for the news…
Oh look, there’s Phyllis’ cousin named Phil! And apparently there’s an update on Phil’s shadow being seen or not.
Nah, don’t care. Nap time.
Until next time, whenever the news beckons like a barking dog you can’t help but pay attention to, #JournoDog out.
